Early Years
Ever since childhood, Dex has been surrounded by music. In the 70s his father fronted a band with the controversial name Straw Dogs. At the age of 10 Dex got his first guitar. By the tender age of 13 he had clocked up numerous public performances and won a number of competitions with his fellow Highbury Singers under the guidance of vocal coach Robyna Houldsworth.

The Bloomsbury Concert
Dex's first major concert performance was at the Bloomsbury Theatre, London. The concert comprised a number of acts peforming comedy, singing, acting and dancing, with profits going to Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.

A packed Bloomsbury Theatre witnessed a powerful and dynamic peformance - an acoustic set involving one man, one guitar and one phenomenal response from the audience.
